Keep reading for your plan to use your Big Health Nut strengths to reach for the top and bring others up with you:
- People love seeking your advice because of your passion, and they always feel that your instruction is valuable.
- You’ve got great ideas, and you’re amazing at inspiring change. Truly, you love to lead.
- Your biggest challenge? Sometimes you’re inconsistent (or not fully committed) in your own health journey, which means that others don’t get the full shine of your generosity and brilliance.
- Then there’s the rebound… You slack off a few workouts, or ditch your nutrition plan for a few weeks and you want to recover lost progress in one day. So you exercise harder. You diet more severely. This can lead to feeling burnt out, or even worse – developing an unhealthy relationship with food and fitness. Instead of going to those extremes, remember to take each day as an opportunity to begin anew.
-
Be on guard for unintentional (innocent?) pride. Pride can be expressed by placing requirements on others before they have chosen to receive the power to achieve them. Vocally help those who request your guidance. Set quiet examples for those who do not.

Don’t be shy about asserting yourself!
You may be in a completely different field right now, but if you’re being called to play a leadership role in teaching health, think and pray about how you can pivot. Maybe it’s volunteering to give short presentations at your church. Maybe it’s sharing with a small group of work-mates, neighbors, or family members. Get creative and be willing. Sharing what you've learned is a great way to solidify your knowledge and encourage consistent health practices.

Give yourself a break!
burnout is a state of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion caused by extended periods of stress. It can be brought on by overtraining, over dieting, or any other type of chronic stress. Symptoms of burnout include fatigue, irritability, trouble sleeping, and a general sense of overwhelmed. If left unchecked, burnout can lead to serious health problems.
Fortunately, burnout is preventable. The first step is to identify the causes of burnout in your life. Once you know what's triggering your burnout, you can take steps to avoid or remove those triggers. For example, if you're overtraining for a marathon, cut back on your mileage or take a few days off from running altogether. If you're working too much overtime, talk to your boss about cutting back on your hours. By taking action to prevent burnout, you'll be able to stay healthy and happy in the long run.
You’ll never be able to serve others well if you burn out!
